Duel of Fives

Contributed by Jesse Weinstein

Number of players: 2

Requirements: 2 decks, 1 for each player

The Object: To have more cards than one's opponent after playing once through the decks.

Play: Each player picks 5 cards from their entire deck, choosing them in order to beat their opponent's five cards, then places their five cards face down in a line so that each card is paired with one of the other player's cards. Then each pair is turned over, higher card winning, with the player who wins more of the five pairs gaining all the cards in all five pairs. If a pair is equal, then it does not count for either side. In case of each player winning the same number of pairs, all the cards in all five pairs go out of the game.
